A Ph.D. project within the framework of the ALCEMIST project is open! This project focuses on the fabrication of microfluidically produced liquid crystal elastomer tubes and shells by using coaxial/multiphase flows. This project is physics-oriented, but with heavy components in chemistry and biotechnology, and it will involve deep collaborations with our partners at the University of Cambridge and NOVA University of Lisbon. This Ph.D. position is for 36 months, extendable to 48 months if necessary.
Early application is encouraged; all applications received by 31 August will receive full consideration. Informal inquiries by e-mail are welcome, but all applications must be made through the official University of Luxembourg website; any applications not received through the official portal will not be considered.
Internships and Theses
Interested in doing an internship or B.Sc./M.Sc. thesis with ESMP? Projects are always available with one of our Ph.D. students, postdocs, or research scientists, but don't hesitate to reach out to us if you have other ideas.
